Joel Javitt President and Chief Technical Officer
Joel Javitt has 16 years of experience in the telecommunications industry. He was previously Managing Director of Network Architecture, Planning, and Analysis at Broadview Networks, where he provided technology leadership for Broadview’s successful deployment of VoDSL (Voice over DSL) technology, including end-to-end architecture design, business case development, development of key vendor relationships, and offer development. Prior to that he was District Manager of AT&T’s Local Network Economic Modeling and Analysis Group, At AT&T he led a group that completed a comprehensive economics study of all potential local access technologies including traditional telephone technology (POTS), cable systems, VoDSL, fixed wireless, broadband fixed wireless (38GHz), and fiber optics. Portions of this study were briefed to the AT&T’s Board of Directors and stock analysts. He also led the life-cycle economic analysis of equipment selection projects for 38GHz equipment, DLCs, DSLAMs, and 38GHz equipment. Prior to AT&T’s reorganization Mr. Javitt was at Bell Labs, where he worked on a wide range of technologies and was awarded 14 patents. Mr. Javitt holds an MBA with Distinction from NYU’s Stern School of Business, an M.S.E.E. from Columbia University, and a B.A. Summa Cum Laude in Physics from Yeshiva University; he is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma, Tau Beta Pi, and Eta Kappa Nu National Honor Societies in business and engineering. |
